Topset Hotel Review - 11 of 21 Reviews

We stayed at the Topset hotel for a week recently. In my opinion, this is one of the better hotels in or around Kyrenia, North Cyprus. The staff here were fabulous. They went out of their way on several occasions to make sure we were comfortable during our stay which was great. I can't compliment them enough. Our room was very nice too. It was larger than a typical hotel room, with a wonderful ocean view. The air conditioner worked okay, but had to be left on all the time in order to keep the room cool enough. The pool was peaceful, plenty large enough so that we had privacy, and there were always lounge chairs available. Also, part of the pool area is shaded, so if you don't like being in sun all day, you can move to a shaded area. If you get tired of the pool, you can always take a dip in the ocean. The water was the perfect temperature when we were there and looked beautiful and pristine, even up close.

The food at the Topset Hotel was good too. We loved the dinner buffets. The selection is large enough that we never got bored. Can't say the same for breakfast, but the food was still delicious, although the selections were limited at breakfast. We were told that the hotel grows a lot of its own produce, which explains the freshness of the food.

The only downside to this hotel is that the location isn't ideal. There's a mosque nearby and we were woken up when they had the call to prayer at 4 am. Also there's a nearby tavern that plays loud music until late at night on some nights (not all though). Otherwise, we can't complain. If you're a sound sleeper, probably the noise factors wouldn't concern you as much though.

We almost missed our flight out of Larnaca due to the longest check-in lines I've ever seen at an airport, so keep that in mind when flying out of that airport. I'd suggest getting to the airport a full 3 hours prior to take-off, just to be on the safe side. Apart from this we loved northern cyprus and would suggest other travellers do stay at the Topset Hotel.
