Stayed here during January this year - booking was nice and easy through Sue at Go North Cyprus. Honestly we're not the fussiest tourists in the world but we were assured a great stay and that's what we planned to have.

The Ship Inn is just outside the centre of Kyrenia, situated along the main road but a bit further than would be comfortable to walk more than once or twice. We used the bus more often than not which saved an awful lot of time and was really cheap. The hotel itself is impressively large and so is the communal pool, with the rooms being generously sized and nicely appointed.

The free use of a safe deposit box was included with the price and this was a real comfort since we've lost quite a few things on holiday in the past. We had a fairly good flatscreen TV in our room too- no idea if that's the norm or if we were just lucky on this occasion but there are english-speaking channels available if for some reason you find yourself at a loose end. Useful in any case if you have trouble sleeping in the heat.

Morning meals were buffet-style, with a really wide range of hot and cold items on offer, whereas for evening meals we had a choice of a couple of starters and a couple of mains. These were changed daily and were of high quality.

Probably a good idea to venture out into the town if you've got drinking to do as the bar at the hotel was a bit expensive compared to some of the other places we found. The staff are all quite good, not that we had much cause to speak to them but I got the impression they were on hand at any time if we'd needed anything which is fantastic.
