“It still lives up to its name!”

This was my family's second visit to the Savoy Ottoman Palace Hotel. We're huge fans of Kyrenia and have stayed in a fair few hotels but when we came in 2014, the Savoy Ottoman was by far the best! Although we've been here before, this was the first time we've booked through gonorthcyprus.com. I spoke to Gary, who besides being very funny, was really helpful in finding us a good deal with the hotel and flights together.

What we love about the Savoy Ottoman Palace is the interesting, traditional décor. When you step inside, you really feel like you've walked into an old Ottoman Palace- the attention to detail in the paintwork and furniture is impressive. The rooms also feel really unique which makes a change from your typical chain hotel. The only thing I have to comment on negatively is that it's clear that the paintwork is getting a little tired in some areas- I hope they get on top of this because it would be awful for such a beautiful hotel to go downhill.

We all love the Savoy Ottoman breakfast because it's quite traditional and although English breakfast lovers might be slightly disappointed, we found it refreshing to be trying local breakfast dishes as it added to the authenticity of the stay. Although we stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, we ate in the hotel's restaurant a couple of times and thought the food was excellent.

The Savoy Ottoman Palace as a lot to offer with regards to entertainment, especially its casino. Our children are 18 and 20 and had their first casino experience in the hotel and found it to be very entertaining, especially as there were a few interesting characters walking around who seemed to be in fancy dress.

My family are already talking about booking our next holiday to the Savoy Ottoman and we'd love to go during the hotter months to really make the most of the pool and the hotel's beach- we've just got to save a few pennies first!
