“Great place to stay if you want to have some luxury”
We stayed at the Savoy Ottoman for two nights from 17th -19th September 2010. We have stayed in a few hotels in Kyrenia but this has to be the best. The facilities are excellent, the rooms very comfortable, though we did have a problem with the AC but this was quickly resolved. The pool area was great and having access to Beach Club and the courtesy transfer made our stay even better, we spent a very pleasant day there. We loved the breakfast buffet, the variety, quality and quantity available was great, so too was the additional cooked choices. We also loved the choice of bars within the hotel and actually felt that the prices were pretty reasonable as far as hotels of this standard go. We were impressed with the service and the friendliness of the staff, they could not do enough to help us.
We did encounter one problem and that was with the mens barber located within the hotel. He charged us a ridiculous amount for a haircut and shave 170TL approx £80 each. We tried to complain but the language problem was an issue. I have since written to the hotel in Turkish as this could damage their business.
I do recommend this hotel for luxury and quality and will certainly return again but avoid the barber at all costs.
Liked — the luxury and comfort and the friendly staff
Disliked — Being overcharged by the barber
