My girlfriend and I booked a last minute break to Kyrenia through www.gonorthcyprus, who were a brilliant travel agent! They found us a great deal and flights to boot and they had really extensive knowledge about North Cyprus so we were able to a lot of planning before we got there. One huge highlight was Kyrenia Harbour and if we were to go to Kyrenia again, we'd probably choose to stay on the harbour side. Saying that, we loved Sammy's Hotel and compared with some negative reviews I'd read about the staff, I can honestly say that the staff and management go over and above to offer their guests a great stay. We had quite a few chats with them over drinks at the bar and they were so helpful in suggesting places to visit.

We'd definitely recommend the Sammy's to anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable holiday. The highlight of the hotel was definitely the food: breakfast was lovely and fresh and you could have omelettes cooked to order for no extra fee. Although we only paid to stay for bed and breakfast, we found ourselves eating in the hotel most nights because the food was tasty and the menu offered a really good selection of dishes.

Our room at Sammy's Hotel was comfortable and well decorated, if a little on the small side. It had everything you'd expect, including tea and coffee, although the coffee was quite nasty! The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was spotlessly clean and the maid service was very efficient.

Luckily, we had some nice weather for an April stay so we were able to make use of the hotel's pool- which was a great size and we never struggled for a sun lounger.

Like I said, we'd definitely recommend the Sammy's Hotel for a quiet, affordable getaway but we will look to stay a little closer to Kyrenia Harbour next time because we fell in love with it!
