Our initial impression was not good due to the rather curt and most unwelcoming receptionist that we have come across for a long time.

In spite of booking a double superior room, we were given a twin bedded room which, in fairness was clean and spacious.

We were disappointed with the organisation, or lack of, in the dining room. Lots of staff all running around with no apparent system which left us waiting for some 15 minutes before we received any attention at all. Thereafter, things got better and the staff made an effort to please and be hospitable. By the end of our stay, we felt that the standard had improved but, there were considerably fewer guests. Perhaps that was the cause of the problem initially, understaffed?

We were disappointed and would try elsewhere before considering returning to Pia Bella

Liked — Spacious room, pity about the twin beds though
Disliked — Coolness of the staff, not at all welcoming unlike every other hotel that we have visited in North C
