Pia Bella Hotel Review - 127 of 149 Reviews

We stayed over 2 weeks, but met some regular visitors (British) who were staying a month or more. The Pia Bella has a large and well maintained, clean garden and pool complex. It is reasonably central, with about a 20 minute walk to the Old Harbour area of Kyrenia, or a cheap taxi ride. More locally there are several fine restaurants and cafes, but these took us a while to discover as locations are not obvious. The so called "Old Turkish Quarter," about half way between the Pia Bella and the Old Harbour and off the beaten track, has several but there are others.

The hotel is opposite the British Cemetery (one of several in Kyrenia) which was of particular interest to us because of family connection. It is a beautiful place.

A minor glitch was a noisy room on our first night, after we had arrived after midnight. However, we were moved the next day to a much better located room. There were some issues with the electronic key system which were finally resolved, after being locked out several times, when the the battery in the room door lock was changed! But overall both the room and the hotel were very comfortable.

There was entertainment most evenings outside in the garden, but never too loud or too late. It seems to be an excellent value hotel for families with children or anyone who needs a relaxing base in Kyrenia.
