I am a wheelchair user and found that the hotel was generally easy to use, particularly with respect to access and mobility. If you do experience difficulty with a long or slightly steep ramp the staff will immediately provide assistance. There are disabled toilets in public areas but they are a little small. The lifts are small so excercise caution if you have a larger chair.

There are some rooms with dedicated disability facilities and staff will be pleased to discuss and help you with these.

The surrounding area and route into Kyrenia have some good footpaths but there are obstacles to be overcome, particularly pot holes and high kerbs. It took between 15 and 20 minutes to reach the town centre where paths and kerbs have been vastly improved and are of a better standard than most British towns. Local people will bend over backwards to assist you so you can enjoy shopping, cafes and the sites from your chair.

Most Historic buildings are not wheelchair accessible and there is a dire shortage of disabled toilets in the town. Ask the Pia Bella staff about this. They are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and may be able to point out hotels in the town with accessible toilets.

Meals are buffet style and a little awkward if you are in a chair but don't be pig headed about this - ask for help if you need it. Food offered is fine but can get a little repetitive over a long holiday. Not a problem if you are eating out some evenings.

Lunches are prepared to order and to a very good standard. The menu is outstanding value for money and the patio lounge/bar is a pleasant place to enjoy your food and drink.

Like most N. Cyprus hotels the Pia Bella would benefit from some up-dating but don't let this deter you from using this hotel. I agree with most of the favorable comments I have seen particularly about the excellence of the staff and find this hotel to be far better than many of its competitors.
