This was our second visit in successive years. Little has changed except some building work and a casino. We found everything exactly as we had left it last June and were extremely happy about that. It`s location is perfect for exploring and a hire car was the way for us. There are a number of ways to travel round the Island none of which are overly expensive.

The staff are excellent friendly and eager to please without making you feel awkward. The rooms were more than adequate for our needs and we found them clean and tidy. We were in room 1211 overlooking the pool area and whilst other reviews hint of excessive noise we did not find this a problem.

The food was varied in the buffet style and we dined in most nights although there are plenty of options outside that will not break the bank. It is especially lovely down by the harbour and despite the lumps and bumps missing from the pavement it is well worth the stroll. If you get the chance pay a visit to the restaurant up at the Bellapais Monestary....breathtaking scenery high over Kyrenia and good food as well.

A tip about the harbour boat tours though, do not opt for a weekend trip as we found to our misfortune there are too many people for allocated sun lounge space, and people are not worried about moving into your spot should you move for whatever reason. The price, the food and the stops are excellent despite this.

All in all we were very pleased with the facilities, staff, accomodation and have no complaints at all. Like I said to start, if you want to get off the world for a while to recharge unwind and relax the Pia Bella is just perfect in our opinion. What you see is what you get. It is not a place for the young and it is not a real 4 star hotel. That said we would have no reservations about recommending it to our friends and will almost certainly return.
