“lovely hotel with nice food”
We stayed at ArkinPalm on11th October for a week. Enjoyed restful holiday. Group played in dining room in evening which was lovely. Would be nice to have been able to have a little dance some night. Food nice, would have been even nicer had they had joints being freshly carved in front of you or dishes being cooked there and then. Desserts were beautiful, over all very good.
Yes bedroom small and no long mirror which for ladies is a must! Upgrading to larger room would have been more expensive. Small point but bathroom door did not close properly which seemed pretty permanent. Like my privacy!
They do ask that long trousers and no flip flops be worn in dining room but some guests ignore this
and unlike some hotels we have been to this was not enforced. People know dress code before they go so no excuse.
Staff in main were polite and friendly.
Go North were very efficient, unfortunately we did not see any of them on this visit - perhaps another time!
Yes it is very sad to see ruined hotels and after 40 years surely the powers of be could do something about it although it is a tourist attraction.
