First impression was not great as the hotel is behind a number of part built apartments which look very rough. Once you get over how they look and walk past them to go out you never feel threatened though and people overall are friendly. The hotel itself, on arriving at reception looks nice and you could be forgiven for thinking it really is a 4 star hotel. The staff speak very little English so being understood is not easy which did present some challenges even with simple things. The rooms were nice and clean and reasonably high class however it did take 4 days to get a third chair for the balcony (there were 3 of us and we had booked a 3 person room but 2 chairs???) The card entry system to the room was erratic and difficult to get to work which was a pain. The hotel is cashless which was not good as hard to keep track of what you were spending during the stay.

The hotel externals were where things went down hill fast. There were numerous trailing cables over pathways presenting trip hazards, often at the top of steps. The wave pool had overhanging trees making walking round it difficult (as did many other areas) and it was quite dangerous with no life guard when waves were active.

The main patio surrounding the large pool was in poor condition with many beds and umbrellas broken and dirty. Also there is a large gap in the drain channel at the baby pool which is dangerous.The main problem here was someone smeared excrement on one of the gents cubicle walls and this had still not been cleaned 7 days later which is not acceptable. The beach was OK and the hotel was not bad it was just too expensive for what it was and needed a good bit of money spend to update it. Restaurant was ok but with little choice if you are English.
