Oscar Resort Hotel Review - 47 of 79 Reviews

My fiancé and I loved the Oscar hotel. We've just returned after a luxurious 2 week stay! After reading other reviews, we thought that the hotel suited our requirements as lots of people said it was ideal for couples. We chatted to Mandy at Go North Cyprus holidays and she backed up everything that we'd read.

Our hotel room was fabulous. It was clean and spacious and even after two weeks we didn't feel claustrophobic as you do in so many boxed-shaped city hotels. We had a balcony overlooking the hotel grounds, which made for some lovely evenings relaxing, watching the world go by.

In all honesty, most of our days were spent by one of the three pools or on the local beaches (we're not the sight-seeing type). Having three pools to choose from was a real bonus for us as we were there for so long. We also spend an afternoon in the hotel's water park. It was great fun but no Disney or Alton Towers.

The hotel has its own spa facilities and I did have a treatment as a gift from my fiancé but I have to say, if this holiday wasn't for a special occasion, I wouldn't have had one as the prices were really expensive.

The hotel food was really good, especially breakfast as they have an on-site chef who prepares egg dishes and pancakes. We didn't eat in the restaurant on many occasions as we took advantage of being so close to the nearest town which had superb restaurants and plenty of bars. What we did eat at the Oscar Resort was tasty and very fresh. It was, however, a lot more expensive than some of the other restaurants in the area.

We are contemplating visiting North Cyprus for our honeymoon as we had such a good time. I wouldn't hesitate to book the Oscar Resort again but if our budget allows, we might go for one of the 5 star resort hotels.
