Oscar Resort Hotel Review - 29 of 79 Reviews

My husband and I took our daughter on holiday and chose to visit northern cyprus recently and we stayed at the Oscar Hotel. We loved it!! We were originally shown to a room that had three single beds instead of the 2 doubles we'd asked for, so that was a slight inconvenience; in addition, we were told that it would be several days before we could switch to a better room due to the hotel being booked to full capacity. Since we were planning a full two week stay, we said no problem, as long as we could eventually get the room we'd asked for. Instead, they upgraded us to an even better room than we'd booked. The room we ended up in was more like a suite with two separate bedrooms and a huge bathroom. We also had a magnificent view of the ocean, as well as quick access to the pool from that room.

At this point, I'd like to say that I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of our room. Both rooms we were in were spotless and appeared to be thoroughly cleaned in between guests, not just haphazardly done, as so many hotels are in the habit of doing.

We ate only breakfasts in the hotel dining room, so I can't say how good lunch and dinner are, but every breakfast we ate was delicious. I enjoyed having my pancakes freshly prepared by the chef at the cooking station, rather than getting soggy on a buffet. Also the service was fantastic. Our waiter always checked on us frequently and made sure we had everything we needed.

There's a spa here at the Oscar Resort hotel also, and I enjoyed my massage immensely. My daughter got a facial treatment and believed it to be the best she'd had. The prices were great and they offered us a discount on top of the already low prices, so we couldn't have been happier with the spa services. We did go back for more treatments before our two weeks were up, by the way.

The bar was another one of our hang-outs and we enjoyed everything about it. The bartender was friendly and mixed excellent cocktails, the tv was on and they were happy to turn it to whatever you wanted to watch, and the atmosphere was really nice. My husband kept commenting on how comfortable the chairs were, and I will agree that they were exceptionally comfortable.

We hope to plan another vacation in northern cyprus area next year and I plan on booking our lodgings at the Oscar Resort Hotel again, as we thoroughly enjoyed this place.
