Merit Park Hotel Review - 26 of 39 Reviews

Last year my husband and I visited the Merit Park Hotel for a short break. When we stayed there there was a lot of building work taking place which was a little off putting. However the staff were so wonderful and we were so impressed with everything else that we decided to return once the work had been finished (when we did stay this time there were only a few bits of work going on.) We've just come back from our return visit and literally cannot find fault in the hotel!

Firstly, the food at the Merit Park Hotel was better than any hotel food I have ever had, even from posh London hotels. The hotel's fish restaurant is second to none, serving fresh and beautifully cooked dishes. Breakfast offered an extensive choice and everything was refreshed frequently.

For the second time we found every single member of staff to be friendly and accommodating, from reception staff to waiting staff and cleaners. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

Our room at the Merit Park Hotel was beautifully decorated and had clearly been renovated very recently. It had all the necessary mod cons and efficient air conditioning!

The hotel's facilities are excellent, with beautiful indoor and outdoor pools. I also loved the wellness and spa facilities, even if the treatments are a little pricey. There didn't seem to be any evening entertainment at the Merit Park but for us it was a bonus as we literally hate cheesy cabarets and booming discos!

My husband and I are already planning a return visit to the Merit Park Hotel however, we were informed this time that there is another new hotel in the chain so may check that one out instead.
