Merit Crystal Cove Hotel Review - 6 of 51 Reviews

I booked a surprise trip for my partner and I last month to stay at the Merit Crystal Cove hotel. I'd visited kyrenia before but never this particular hotel. We found it to be in an excellent location at the north coast of the island with great views and some lovely scenery. There were also two very nice beaches, one of which was a typical sandy style beach for tourists and the other was more of a rocky and private place, away from it all. You could swim at both as the water was lovely and clear and there didnt seem to be a bit of litter anywhere.

Our room was a nice size, not huge, but certainly nothing to complain about either. It was clean, light and really quite confortable which was a big worry to us on the way! All the usual bits such as a mini bar and hairdryer were present and the bar also had free soft drinks to keep you cool. We had booked all inclusive so intended to try as much of the local food as we could. This was available poolside in the fresh air too. The a la carte restaurant served fantastic sea food, but you would need to book a table in advance as it seemed quite popular!

The hotel staff were quite friendly, had a nice attitude and tried to make us feel welcome, although some of them didnt speak too much english we seemed to get by ok. There was a mix of people from all over staying at this time of the year, and we noticed a large influx of spanish and italian people after we arrived. In a nutshell, the hotel was exactly how it advertised itself, clean well managed and welcoming. I do feel a bit more english on the staffs part would have helped somewhat, but after all, we were in North Cyprus! I'd certainly return and would strongly consider this hotel again! 5 star rating from us!
