Merit Crystal Cove Hotel Review - 32 of 51 Reviews

Our teenage son has just left for university so as a final treat, we took him to North Cyprus. We booked at the Merit Crystal Cove because we liked the idea of the hotel having its own beach- we weren't planning on doing an awful lot of site-seeing! We were all thoroughly impressed with the hotel and its facilities. In fact my husband and I are contemplating returning next summer.

Our hotel room was really spacious and you could tell that it had recently been refurbished. It had enough room to comfortably fit the three of us although I was a little disappointed that on arrival our son's bed hadn't been made. However, it didn't take the staff long to sort it out and they were very apologetic.

The hotel's restaurants were lovely- it was nice to have such a wide choice. We were received with excellent service in each and found the food to be very tasty. We were also impressed with the breakfast buffet.

The hotel has good entertainment facilities, including a casino, which was quite fun, especially for our son who'd never been to one. There was also evening entertainment most nights, although a lot of it was a bit cheesy! There was one local singer that impressed us- the owners had definitely taken their time to choose a class act there.

The Merit Crystal Cove grounds and beach were really beautiful and spotlessly clean. It was so lovely to walk through the gardens to get to the pool area or the beach. Being set in such a beautiful spot made the hotel feel less touristy than other places that we've stayed in abroad.

I booked our stay through Sue at Go North Cyprus. She made the whole thing incredibly easy for us and we shall definitely be using them again if visiting North Cyprus. We had a wonderful holiday which meant a lot because it could be the last time our son wants to travel with us again!
