This is a hotel review for Malpas Hotel in Kyrenia, North Cyprus

“A modern, well sited hotel with friendly staff”

We stayed for 3 nights half-board in Mid-Oct 2010. Hotel is clean and well maintained and staff were friendly and helpful. Our room (superior standard mountain facing) was large, well laid out and quite well equipped. We had a few problems with used items being replaced (soap, shampoo, etc) but put this down to a certain lack of supervision of room staff. The dining room is light and pleasant to eat in and staff very efficient. Food at breakfast was good but evening meals poor - main complaint being meats and vegetables were cold. The management really need to take a close look at food preparation & presentation. We visited the hotel beach by car but it is most certainly not "just a 3 minute drive away" nor is it a beach rather concrete jetties with ladder access to the sea. We would use the Malpas again but be reluctant to stay other than B&B.

An attractive looking hotel with 5 star rooms, 4 star public rooms and 3 star food!
