The room was clean and comfortable: the linen soft and the bathroom well equipped. The twin flush toilet cum bidet is excellent and should be adopted worldwide, especially in countries with water shortages. A kettle and tea/coffee making facilities would have been appreciated. The restaurant with the sunny outside terrace is very pleasant although the tables inside are rather close together. The service is reasonable. The quantity, quality and range of cuisine is excellent, although drink prices are on the high side. The pool is huge. The casino is fun.

As regards location, the hotel is not on the sea but a kilometer inland in a residential area, about 6 km out of town. There is a hotel courtesy bus to take guests into town (3 times in the morning, and returning at 4.30pm) and there is a dedicated beach guests can use, with the hotel bus (but we cannot comment on these as we did not use them). Really guests need a car when staying at the Malpas.

We were happy with the hotel and will return in the future.
