This is a hotel review for Malpas Hotel in Kyrenia, North Cyprus

“Good hotel but with some problems”

The hotel is of a very good standard and generallly lives up to its rating.

The standard of service in reception is way below standard. On arrival there were three reception staff and nobody else at the counter. It took over 30 minutes for them to complete our check in after we had filled in tthe paperwork.

The room offered was not as booked and it then took another 20 minutes for them to arrange another room.

We stayed for 2 nights and there was building work above us for both days. On arrival at 3pm the work was already going on and went on until 7pm.

The following day work started at 7.45am. At 3pm I asked reception when it would stop. I was told 1 hour perhaps. It went on until 7pm.

We were not the only ones that couldnt use our room that afternoon.

I know work has to be done but you should be made aware of major work and given the option of leaving.

If looking for 5 star I would suggest somewhere else, probably Jasmine Court.
