The Malpas is a contemporary hotel set in an elevated location between the sea and mountains just east of Girne. The hotel also has its own exclusive beach club a couple of miles away which is idylic. Although the hotel provides a regular shuttle service and taxis are always readily available, a hire car is the best way to get around. Bellapais village and abbey are nearby as is the waterfront at Girne and in the opposite directionTurtle Beach.

The rooms are well appointed and are cleaned on a daily basis. Staff are respectful, helpful and friendly. The pool area is immaculate as are the dining room, gardens, reception and accomodation areas. During the period of our stay the clientele were mainly British. The hotel is very peaceful and lively families may find it excessively so. Ideal for couples who wish to indulge in a high standard of luxury. The food is excellent and varied offering international as well as local dishes. One can dine on the terrace with wonderful views over the houses below towards the sea, with the Beshparmak mountains behind as a wonderful backdrop. The hotel offered a free half board upgrade during the period of our stay which made it outstanding value for money. Not much in the way of evening entertainment but a good singer/guitarist performed. No tennis courts etc. There is a casino. Would return to this hotel without hesitation.
