A great five star hotel, offering well appointed rooms, its public facilities were also very good and dining was great (food is buffet style). My wife and I stayed in an annex room, surrounded by a beautiful garden with fantastic sea and mountain views. Car parking was plentiful (due to the lack of public transport we would recommend hiring a car).

The hotel swimming pools provided plenty of space to relax in and were well attended by staff whose aim was to help; this was complemented by a casual dining area. There were further indoor facilities, pool, spa etc (not used by us).

Its private beach is about 2Km away and the hotel provided a scheduled coach service to its beach, and to and from Kyrenia resort centre, which is about 20 minutes away by coach, however, taxis are plentiful. Kyrenia is a great centre to visit and offers good restaurants etc.

The hotel staff were very eager to please, however, apart from the front office staff, English spoken was very basic, which sometimes lead to frustration.

During our two week stay the 'fine dining' restaurant was closed, which was a little disappointing.

We were able to visit most of North Cyprus using the 'tour services provided by independent tour operators'

Unlike many people we did not fly to Turkey before flying to North Cyprus, we flew to Larnaca and travelled by car to the hotel, the border crossing was friendly, informal, and relaxed and the journey took about 45 minutes

We did find the price of drinks being offered by the hotel, expensive, however, most 5* hotels in the area charged a similar tariff. There are restaurants and bars a short drive (or taxi ride) away, but we did not find it necessary to use them since the hotel provided all we required.

Finally, some people will find the hotel a little isolated, so a hire care may be essential, having said that, many people who hired cars, did not use them, and the tour excursions collect you from the outside of the hotel. If you want a quiet and relaxing holiday this hotel is for you.
