Lapida Garden Hotel Review - 2 of 21 Reviews

I have mixed opinions about the Lapida Garden Hotel. It's a small family run hotel and I have to begin by saying the two owners are an asset to the hotel. They are so kind and friendly that they obviously take pride in their hotel and want their guests to enjoy their stay. However, there were some other elements that didn't quite meet our expectations.

The hotel rooms at the Lapida Garden are a good size and kept very clean. I wasn't too keen on the décor but everything was comfortable. As for the décor in the communal areas of the hotel, I did find it a little unusual. There were antiques around every corner and furnishings which were to the personal taste of the owners, which made the whole place feel more like a house than a hotel. This would appeal to some people but it just wasn't what I'd expect from a hotel.

The breakfast and evening meals were very good, with a wide selection. Everything was fresh and well prepared.

The Lapida Hotel is situated in a small town, quite far from most amenities. If you wanted to travel to nearby Kyrenia, you have to use the hotel's minibus service or hire a car. Nothing, apart from a few shops and restaurants, was walking distance away.

Despite the location of the Lapida Garden Hotel being a disappointment, the hotel grounds certainly weren't --- they were absolutely beautiful and so well kept and the mountain view in our room was stunning.

If travelling to North Cyprus again, my wife and I would have to stay somewhere closer to the beach as it felt very strange going on a sun holiday and not spending a lot of time there.
