I've always loved visiting north cyprus and each year I try to convince the family to come back to a Mediterranean hotel. I have been to Northern Cyprus about 6 times on mostly business visits but this time my rabble agreed to have our main holiday there all together.

After the initial preparations we searched for a hotel and zeroed in on the LA Hotel located near Lapta village. The booking agent (GoNorthCyprus.com) we used suggested it was a great place to stay.The LA hotel is around 45 km from Ercan Airport which is well connected with Istanbul and other cities in the region which I'd visited on business. We arrived at the hotel early in the day and stayed there for a 2 weeks exacty. The hotel appeared well kept and clean (which is always a good sign) and we spent our time mostly in and around beaches which were quite close to the hotel. Our stay was almost faultless and we all agreed we'd had a wonderful time - everybody in my family including my 10 year old daughter and teenage son were satisfied. The staff here were polite, very professional and did everything they could to address any concerns we had. The only small issue was a light not working but it turned out to be a bulb and was quickly fixed. In the height of the tourist season, the hotel was actually really busy, but it didn't seem overcrowded or too busy to enjoy. There did seem to be lots of famiies and I'd say this is an ideal place for kids to stay.
