Korineum Golf Resort Hotel Review - 5 of 31 Reviews

What would I say about the Korineum Golf Resort? As I like to be very fair and objective let's go through the positives and the negatives here. Firstly the hotel is fantastically suited to golfers – which I suppose you'd expect from a golf resort! But it's also a great place to stay to explaore the local area and even a good base if you're here on business trips. I noticed that there were quite a few guests walking around in suits carrying brief cases so I'm sure the whole 'doing business in a golf hotel' thing works here as it often does in the UK too. There are a range of different rooms available but even though I stayed in what can be described as the 'standard' type, it was surprisingly high quality. On entering it smelled and looked very clean and the décor was new and stylish. It was mostly neutral with a few bits of wooden furniture. My partner complained about the beds being quite stiff and uncomfortable but that was down to them seeming new and I for one, thought they were actually more comfortable! We did get to take a sneak peak at another 'preferred' room (thats what they called them, but they mean a premium type room) and found it to have a pretty awesome sea view. I'd try for one of those if I return, but unsure on the price difference. We ate in the hotel nightly and would rate the food as a 9 out of 10. I can be quite choosy with food but this was well prepared with high quality ingredients. Compliments to the chef! The staff, well they were a mixed bag. Most were very pleasant and cheery but the occasional employee went past looking down on his or her luck. It was a busy period so maybe they weren't enjoying their job that day. As for the price, I feel that the room we had was exceptionally well priced and could not be faulted.
