“Beautiful boutique hotel for a relaxing break”
This was the first time we had ventured to the north of the island and wanted a small, boutique type hotel. We booked Kemerli Konak through GoNorthCyprus.com and the reservations manager, Sue, was brilliant. As soon as we saw the hotel we knew we had made the right choice, truly lovely. There was absolutely no noise when we went to check in, the perfect peaceful environment for 2 workaholics to kick back and relax for a fortnight. This hotel only has 18 rooms, but the layout has been very cleverly thought out as we enjoyed privacy both in our room and on the balcony. The latter offered wonderful views of both the sea and the mountains. The cleaners kept the place spotless and the bed linen and towels smelt lovely. The combination of this, and the super comfy bed, ensured slept like logs for our entire stay, and even had a few cheeky siestas! The outdoor spaces were tranquil and very well designed, trees offering shade from the intense sun. Breakfast was served to us on our balcony and we ate at the restaurant recommended by the hotel; The Archway. This is not a busy, bustling hotel, and doesn't have the wealth of amenities on offer at corporate hotel chains. However, its idyllic setting is the haven of peace and tranquillity we were desperate for. It's easy to get out and about if you want to and I can honestly say I have never felt so relaxed on holiday. Yes, we are going back this year.
Liked — Peaceful and relaxing boutique choice
Disliked — Some will prefer known chain hotels
