Jasmine Court Hotel Review - 3 of 18 Reviews

The temperatures in TRNC in August when we visited the Jasmine Court were in the 30s, so most of the time was spent trying to find shade rather than lying in the full sun. The pool areas were clean and tidy, but really hot in the full sun, even with a parasol. We were glad to cool off in the sea off the little beach at the hotel, but the drinks at all the hotel bars were pricey considering the heat. The hotel doesn't 'officially' let you bring drinks in, not even water, but everyone we spoke to did anyway. We found it much cheaper to wander in towards Kyrenia, about a 20 min walk, and go to a local bar or shop - much cheaper. Just mind the traffic on the roads - pavements don't always exist!

Our room was well air-conditioned, and the bathroom was clean and maintained. The food in the restaurants was good, and breakfast on the terrace was lovely in the morning. The beach snack bar was unexciting but OK for a light lunch. We ventured into the casino once for a nightcap - like stepping into a mini Las Vegas, rows of slot machines and card tables - not our thing but fun to watch.

The jasmine Court's staff were polite and attentive, and seemed to delight in serving the few children who were staying, which was good to see. The entertainment was fine so long as you liked pop covers by bands, or jazz. To be honest, the best evenings we had were just sitting out watching the sea, and enjoying the thought that back home it was raining and horrible!
