Hideaway Club Hotel Review - 4 of 42 Reviews

Booked as a surprise my partner took me to a hotel called the Hideaway Club in Cyprus for 2 weeks in the sunshine after finishing my current job. We booked just after the main season rush and managed to get a good deal on the whole thing. Our room didn't have a sea view which we requested (and paid for) so the hotel staff had to keep us waiting for an hour while they moved us to an alternative which did have a scenic sea view. Although this was an inconvenience they were very apologetic and did all they could to help, so no complaints there.

The pool also looked great and was very clean too, but for the first 3 days it was just a little bit too cold to be comfortable in for very long. Hotel staff came to the rescue once more and by the fourth day it was lovely. The hotel food was pretty basic and nothing out of the ordinary, but that said, it was very tasty and always looked fresh and well cooked.

We went to relax and that's just what we managed to do. The weather held well and allowed us hours in the sun each day. We took a few day trips by taxi to the local attractions like the shops just for a bit of variety but we were content lazing by the pool most days. Our evenings were spent in the bar or on the terrace chatting with each other and other guests, of which there were quite a few. I'm not sure what star rating the Hideaway Club actually has, but I'd suggest with a bit of internal decoration it could be a good 5 star quickly.

Liked — very helpful and cheerful staff
Disliked — pool wasn't very warm on 3 days
