This is a small hotel with about 30 persons max.

Very warm welcome, excellent staff, nothing too much trouble.

Very helpfull receptionist who was also a fountain of knowledge of all things Cyprus.

Food: very tasty food, especialy the daily 'specials'

Room: we booked the luxury suite with sea views, large lounge and bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Bed was comfortable, although the ornamental steel headboard was 'annoying'

Large cupboard/wardrobe space.

A/C unit fitted above bed, fairly quiet but the filters were completely clogged with dust and fluff, a quick wash in the shower (filters) and it was sorted.

En-Suite: obviously dated and showing it. Cracked tiles and bathroom door was warped meaning that it couldn't be closed. Shower was lacking in pressure and kept fluctuating between hot/cold.

Toilet cistern was constantly leaking into the bowl, and would 'whistle' now and then (especialy during the 'small hours')

Pool: reasonable size but during the time we stayed there (late Oct) it was too cold to get into.

Room Maid came at a 'sensible' time (10:30) was quite good at clearing our overnight mess

Next to the 'cheaper rooms' at the back, there is a nice view of the hotels emergency generator, worthwhile paying the extra for the 'sea view' rooms

There is a small road that runs up the side and back of hotel leading to villages further up the hill/mountain, and traffic noise went on almost all night.

A hire car is a must, as there is no hotel courtesy bus.

Nearest 'decent' beach is about 5k west of the hotel i think it is called 'Secret Beach' pay to get in, resteraunt/showers/toilets, nice sand, all clean and free from litter.

Most other beaches in the area are rocky and covered in plastic rubbish

You can take a tandem Paragilding flight from the top of the mountain behind the hotel and fly right over the hotel and land halfway between the hotel and beach.

North Cyprus is so much greener than the South, with some stunning deserted beaches right at the western end.

Would we stay there again?...yes.

On our last day there, the other empty rooms were being totaly renovated, so next year (2014) the rooms should be superb
