Hideaway Club Hotel Review - 20 of 42 Reviews

This hotel is run by a very nice family which was pointed out by the lady we booked with. I think her name was Sue and she worked for a company called go north cyprus.com. In the main building there are a set of rooms and bungalows. We stayed in a bungalow, they are not very big but there is space enough for two people. This place is called “Hideaway for a reason” as there are loads of stairs to climb before you get to the place; it is a very discreet location in north cyprus.

You can have breakfast outside by the pool; thank the Lord there were no screaming kids, but a load of old biddies with their noses in the air to replace them. In all honesty I would have preferred the screaming kids; at least they are not afraid to smile. It appears that most of the guests were regular and had been many times before; well that kind of explains why half of them actually felt that they owned the place! My parents used to be regular visitors until they hiked their prices up.

Dining at the hotel was not bad, although the prices are not included in the rates, and to be honest you are better off eating out because the food at the hotel was much more expensive. A nice place to eat is The Dolphin Bar in Alsankak, highly recommended. The food is cheap, tastes great and you even get a free lift home.

A word of warning! DO NOT HIRE A CAR FROM THE HOTEL! Take a trip into the town center and get one from many of the car rental shops there. We were there out of season so the rates were very cheap, but if you are planning on going during high season you will need to pre book. The staff were very friendly, I would visit again if they have any more special offers, but I wouldn't pay their normal full asking price.
