Hideaway Club Hotel Review - 14 of 42 Reviews

Paradise is the only way to describe our stay at the Hideaway Club Hotel. My husband and I were looking for a little new year treat, nothing too pricey but at the same time we didn't want to skimp! When we read about balcony breakfasts we were sold and we were not disappointed so we chose Northern Cyprus.

Although it was a little chilly, that did not stop us from having breakfast on our balcony the first morning we were there. We sat overlooking the vastness of North Cyprus, with historic Kyrenia in the distance and just knew at that moment that this would be a holiday to remember.

The hotel was so incredibly quiet and peaceful. Something which pleased us was the lack of children running about but I'm guessing at a different time of year this may change. Being a small hotel, we also found that the staff were particularly attentive. We were never waiting for a drink or meal more than 10 or so minutes and if we ever wanted advice about where to visit or how to get there, they were quick to get out a map and explain. We really felt like they went that extra mile to make our stay special in North Cyprus.

Kyrenia itself was beautiful. We'd read mixed reviews about its cleanliness but we felt that it was picturesque and very well maintained. We were especially impressed with the mix of tourism and tradition, where neither seemed to be over-ruling.

My husband and I love walking, so we were very happy to venture out of our hotel and just take a wander, wherever it took us. Our best find was a small secluded beach with breathtaking views out to sea.
