Hideaway Club Hotel Review - 11 of 42 Reviews

My wife and I decided to treat ourselves near Christmas with a winter get away. We couldn't have been more pleased with the stay we had at the Hideaway Club. As it was the winter season, the hotel was fairly quiet, which for us was a bonus. Even better was the fact that we had a free room upgrade because there was one available. The room was large with comfortable furnishings and lots of spare bedding. There were also plenty of free toiletries in the spacious bathroom. The best thing about our room was the balcony which allowed us to look out on some beautiful scenery. Had we been staying in the summer, we would have welcomed the excellent air conditioning in the room but being winter, we were desperate for some warmth and there didn't seem to be a heating setting. This was somewhat disappointing.

The rest of the hotel was well heated, including the bar where I have to confess we did spend one or two occasions watching BBC1 (there were only news channels in the room.) The food at the hotel was very good, and we were especially impressed with breakfast being cooked to order. One of our pet hates is going to a buffet and everything being barely warm!

The hotel was in a great position for getting around the Kyrenia area. It was only a 5-10 minute drive to the city centre which could easily be walked. My wife and I loved how peaceful the area was and are currently considering another stay at the Hideaway during the summer.
