The Green Holiday Village is located in Kyrenia in the North of Cyprus. It stands just one mile from the nearest beach and is within walking distance of the historical Lambousa ruins so it seemed a great choice for us to visit. On arrival the hotel had a very light and airy atmosphere (largely thanks to minimalist decoration and the aid of modern air-conditioning) in stark contrast with the often boiling hot streets of Cyprus itself! The town centre was approximately five miles away which was a short ride or on a few days we walked for a scenic route!

We went self catering and the rooms come fully equipped with a refridgerator, cooker and electric kettle and again, are air conditioned throughout. There is also the handy addition of satellite television in every room, which may prove invaluable on the rare occasion that the weather isn't quite up to scratch.

The communal areas, though often busy, have a pleasant, bustling atmosphere and there is more than enough pool space to accommodate the rest of the hotels guests. Staff are helpful and generally demonstrate very good English comprehension and will be more than happy to provide directions or even advice as to where you might enjoy spending your time in Cyprus- most locations being accessible through use of a hire car or even a taxi from the rank right outside the complex.

Other facilities available included a massage parlour, sauna and steam room, wireless internet connection, laundry and dry cleaning services and a small health and fitness centre with gym. Food consists of world cuisine accompanied by some traditional Turkish dishes cooked fresh by local chefs. All in all a really solid, good quality place to visit!
