Fairmont Holiday Village Review - 9 of 20 Reviews

I'm not big on leaving reviews but we had such an amazing time at the Fairmont in Kyrenia I felt I had to let everyone know! A friend recommended the gonorthcyprus.com website and it was a very smooth and easy experience. They seem to offer extra tit bits of information that other sites don't, which would greatly benefit first time visitors.

The complex itself was spacious, clean and had everything we wanted. We stayed in one of the rooms facing the mountains which are a plethora of colour and offer the most amazing view of the sunset. We could also see the sea, so really had the best of both worlds.

I have spotted a couple of complaints about this hotel on some of the review forums which I would like to address. First off this is an island, so you aren't going to get the power shower water pressure you get on the mainland. Even then it was better than we have had in Spanish hotels. Secondly the towels. They don't automatically change your towels every day but if you want fresh ones they give you them no problem at all. Lastly, although the hotel is on a dual carriageway you never hear traffic noise. This location makes is easy to get around so you can't have everything!

There is a short cut from the hotel onto the lower road where there is a bus stop to take you into Kyrenia. The staff are very friendly and when the fruit ran out at breakfast, even though it was nearly at the end of service, they quickly got me more.

There are 2 beaches close by. You can walk to Escape Beach and there are others further afield you can get the bus too. We had a great time here, and if you want the views we had ask to be put in the rooms numbered 14-18.
