Fairmont Holiday Village Review - 3 of 20 Reviews

My husband and I have just returned from our stay at the Fairmont Holiday Village, North Cyprus. We booked through Mandy at Go North Cyprus and were pleased with her advice and recommendations.

I'm really fussy about where I stay in terms of cleanliness and quality. The best thing about the Fairmont Holiday Village is the fact that it is relatively new and in an excellent state of repair. Everything is spotlessly clean and its style is minimalist, so hardly any places for dust to collect. Our room was comfortable and was incredibly spacious, something that we were really pleased with!

The Holiday Village looks like a piece of modern art, with its unusual shape and architecture. It didn't really feel like a normal holiday complex. However, I did like the fact that the pool was at the centre of the holiday villas because you could literally open the door and be at the poolside.

We were really impressed with the breakfast at the Fairmont Village. There was a fantastic choice and everything was really fresh and tasty.

The village also offers a huge range of leisure activities which you can book directly through them. We went on a historic tour and also paid to go scuba diving. These were both excellent.

The real downside to the hotel was how far away it was from most of the local amenities. The nearest beaches were a long walk away, which was fine in the morning but once you'd had enough, it was a bit of a trek home. Kyrenia (a beautiful harbourside town) was a taxi or bus ride away. This put us off going there often because it was costly and more hassle.

Although the Fairmont Holiday Village was lovely, if we were going to visit North Cyprus again, we'd probably stay elsewhere.
