Dome Hotel Review - 5 of 93 Reviews

My husband and I spent a month in North Cyprus to escape the dreadful winter weather and North Cyprus was a good choice. We were however very disappointed with the Dome Hotel. It was very quiet with mostly retirees like ourselves there, so no noisy screaming children, but the hotel is desperate for some TLC. Everything is tatty, tired and at the end of its useful life. Our room desperately needed decorating and the bathroom was shabby. It was obviously once a luxury hotel and it would really not take a lot to make this hotel great again.

The location is great if you do not have a car as it is central for Kyrenia town, shops and castle. There is a taxi stand right outside the hotel to take you shopping and exploring or down to one of the beaches. The harbour area is very nice if you want to have a meal overlooking the pleasure boats.

The hotel has 3 pools and the sea pool was beautifully situated overlooking the sea, but it needed attention and repairs. Breakfast was included in our package and it was plentiful but plain. The staff however made the whole experience tolerable. They were so kind and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The only thing that would make me go back would be if I was sure they had had a complete renovation.
