This is a hotel review for Dome Hotel in Kyrenia, North Cyprus
“Excellent location but hotel leaves a lot to be desired”
As in previous reviews, the location of this hotel is currently second to none in Kyrenia. We arrived late on Saturday evening. Our room, number 403, was very small, dismal and quite dated although we did have a sea view. In the light of day, you could see that the room had seen far better days and it was very tatty. We did not expect the hotel to be 4* by UK standards but we felt as if we were staying in a hostel.
We opted for the half board option. The food was buffet style and the food was good and there was always something there to cater for all tastes.
The staff were, in general, miserable and unhelpful. The hotel seems to particularly cater for people staying in the hotel using the Casino and wedding parties, sometimes at the expense of their "normal" guests.
Although we would return to Northern Cyprus again, we will not be staying at the Doom.
Liked — Location and pool area
Disliked — Rooms, miserable staff and the concrete beyond the pool
