Colony Hotel Review - 75 of 98 Reviews

An old school friend and myself had planned to go away for our 50th birthdays. We didn't want anywhere overly busy or hot for the winter season but wanted to be in the perfect location so we could enjoy our stay without having to travel. Neither of us had been to North Cyprus before so we spoke to an agent (Gary) from Go North Cyprus. He was really helpful in suggesting the Colony Hotel to us and we're so glad he did. We had the perfect break at the Colony and are already contemplating going back with our husbands in tow.

The best thing about the Colony Hotel is its fantastic location. It's smack bang in the middle of Kyrenia town and only a short walk from its beautiful harbour. There was enough going on in Kyrenia for us to not have to travel anywhere else. The city is very historic and cultural and it's lovely to see that it remains largely unspoilt by tourism. We found plenty of cafés, bars and restaurants to satisfy us while we were there.

The hotel rooms at the Colony are clean and spacious, with a modern décor. They also have that touch of luxury that you'd expect from a 5 star hotel. The only negative was that at night it could be quite noisy with cars and people going past.

The food at the hotel was very good and the choice at breakfast was really extensive. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and the maid service was excellent.

My friend and I were really impressed with the hotel's facilities- we can't wait to come back when it's warmer to try out the rooftop pool!
