Colony Hotel Review - 69 of 98 Reviews

This was my family's first visit to North Cyprus. Everyone had recommended staying in or near Kyrenia so we spoke to Sue from Go North Cyprus and she gave us some options. My partner and I took our 17 year old daughter and considering this is probably the last family holiday she will come on with us before spreading her wings, we wanted something quite luxurious. Sue said that the Colony was in the ideal location and was a super 5 star hotel. She was absolutely spot on about both. We had such a good holiday that we are planning to return in early Autumn next year.

Everything about the Colony Hotel was quality. Our rooms were really spacious, with superbly comfortable beds (something which you can never guarantee from a hotel!) They had a lovely old charm to them but whilst also maintaining luxury. The bathroom suite was really pristine too. The maid service at the hotel was excellent and everything was very clean.

The location of the Colony Hotel is brilliant because all of the local amenities are just a walk away. We spent most of our time at the beach or around Kyrenia Harbour because it was so full of life, with gorgeous traditional cafés and restaurants.

Although we stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, we did eat at the Colony Hotel a few times. When we arrived early in the morning we ate lunch on the roof top terrace which was brilliant- you could see so far out over the area. The food was tasty and fresh. On a couple of occasions the hotel breakfast buffet was a little cold but it's hard to expect much more from a buffet option.

My favourite part of the Colony Hotel was the spa. I treated my daughter and I to a couple of treatments. The whole experience was so relaxing.

We can't wait to come back!
