Colony Hotel Review - 67 of 98 Reviews

A few friends have recently been to North Cyprus and have come back raving about it so my girlfriend and I decided to book. We spoke to Sue from Go North Cyprus and said that we'd like to stay somewhere which was vibrant and busy as we're both into eating out and drinking until late.

Sue recommended the Colony Hotel because it was in the centre of Kyrenia. It was absolutely perfect for what we wanted! We were a walk away from the shops, bars and restaurants and the lovely local harbour. The whole area was buzzing with interest and things to do, without being like a tacky tourist resort.

The hotel itself was really clean and nicely decorated. It had the feel of a typical city hotel and I saw a few business people there. I wouldn't say that it was ideal for young children. Saying that, the staff were very friendly and helpful so anyone would be comfortable staying there!

Our hotel room was spacious and well decorated and the air conditioning was easy to use and worked! A massive bonus! We also had a balcony over-looking the street, which suited my girlfriend as she loves people watching.

The food was really varied and interesting and breakfast had a lot to offer. My girlfriend can be quite fussy and didn't fancy trying any local food, but she managed to find something to eat each day.

My girlfriend and I both had a brilliant stay at the Colony Hotel and thought that it was definitely value for money! We would certainly go back but perhaps in the autumn/spring as we both felt that it would be better to have a beach resort in the summer.
