Colony Hotel Review - 31 of 98 Reviews

My husband and I booked the Colony Hotel for what we hoped would be a luxurious get away. Our first impressions of the hotel were that it was beautifully decorated, clean and expensive looking. All of these impressions proved to be correct, including the 'expensive' part. We had paid a lot to stay at the hotel, but didn't quite expect everything to be really expensive. The drinks were astoundingly high in price! That said, the hotel was good quality and quite a treat.

The hotel was in a great location for sight-seeing and exploring nearby restaurants/nightlife. We felt spoilt for choice about where to go for dinner. Especially as the hotel restaurant served such high quality, fresh food. The hotel's location did have some draw backs. Being amid the hustle and bustle meant that the hotel was also busy until late. It was noisy late into the night which was fine when we were out late (or at the casino) but when we wanted to relax it was difficult. I wouldn't recommend bringing young children here.

The hotel had a good number of facilities- we loved the fitness centre and rooftop pool which never felt too busy. The staff were friendly but not in your face. I could image that they might be laid back about any problems their customers have. But, as it were, we didn't have any.

Overall we enjoyed our stay but doubt we will return unless we had our credit card with us!!
