Every time I book a family holiday, I go for the largest hotel I can find in the hope that they have so much money put into the hotel that it provides the best for its guests. I went away with my friend at the end of the summer and she booked for us. I was horrified when she said she'd booked a family-run villa but obviously couldn't complain. She said it was recommended to her by www.gonorthcyprus and that they'd told her it was one of the best.

All I can say is, how right my friend and Go North Cyprus were. This hotel is one of the best I've ever stayed in and I've never been treated so well as a guest! The hotel is owned by a lovely family, who obviously put their all into making it such a wonderful place to stay.

Our villa was beautiful inside and out, with every facility you could possibly need and was kept incredibly clean by a really lovely room maid. I was so impressed to find that we had our own pool area.

The Citrus Tree Gardens are quite far away from Kyrenia town, which didn't put us off. In fact, it added to the holiday because the complex was just so quiet and peaceful. We had wonderful sleep and brilliant evenings chatting under the stars, without being interrupted by loud music. There were a few local shops near by so getting the essentials was never a problem and we were happy to get a bus or taxi into the town.

We ate breakfast in the restaurant, which was always fresh. The choice wasn't massive but nor is the hotel. We ate in the hotel restaurant twice. Both times we were met by exceptional service. The food was well cooked and tasty but presentation and choice were a little lacking. Again, we weren't too upset about this because it was nice to get out and about and try local delicacies.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Citrus Tree Gardens again and most definitely will be giving other smaller hotels a try.
