Citrus Tree Gardens Review - 12 of 29 Reviews

I booked a stay at the Citrus Tree Gardens for myself and my family to get away from the horrible English weather we've been having. We spoke to Sue and she found the holiday for us which in all honesty was the cheapest we could find as we were on quite a budget.

When we arrived at the Citrus Tree villas, we were attended to very quickly by a very polite receptionist. She showed us straight to our villa and told us where to find all of the amenities. Our villa was spacious and well equipped but quite dated. It was average in terms of repair and cleanliness. We were really impressed to be so close to our own private pool! Even though the weather wasn't scorching, we still managed to make some use of it!

The gardens at the Citrus Tree were really beautiful. The whole place is wonderfully peaceful. If you are looking to relax, this is definitely the place to stay. For us, we enjoyed the tranquillity but found it hard being so far out. Our kids were desperate for a bit of entertainment so we spent quite a lot of money on taxis.

The food at the hotel was ok. The breakfast was a little boring and the choice for evening meal wasn't particularly varied. What we did have was hot and fresh but most evenings, we chose to travel in to Kyrenia by taxi to eat at the fabulous restaurants it has to offer. Kyrenia was absolutely wonderful! We will definitely return to the area again and spend more time sight-seeing as we literally couldn't do it all in one week.

Although we had a wonderful holiday, I'm not sure we'd return to the Citrus Tree Gardens unless they did a bit of updating. We did see that they were doing work on some of the villas so perhaps ours was next in line.
