“Romantic couple's getaway”

I took my wife to the Chateau Lambousa Hotel for a romantic break, we'd had a manic time in the run-up to Christmas so we decided to get away for a few days before the big day arrived. We had a nice room with a balcony overlooking the pool and were pleased with the standard of cleanliness although an update might freshen up the decor a bit. Breakfast was sufficient and we really enjoyed the bar meals, the restaurant in the basement is a little bit dark. Really friendly restaurant manager and staff though. The hotel setting is very pleasant under the hills and the pool area is nice too. It was mainly other couples when we visited so was quiet and relaxed. We got a good price for the break and returned feeling relaxed.
