Bellapais Monastery Village Review - 55 of 65 Reviews

We loved our stay at Bellapais Monastery Village hotel and are glad we happened to find it on GoNorthCyprus when we were searching for a peaceful early autumn holiday. Not only did it have a fantastic traditional atmosphere, but it was also set in an incredibly beautiful and peaceful location.

Sitting on the mountainside, you get exquisite views of the coastline below, and we loved visiting the nearby village of Bellapais for its selection of local restaurants, cafes and shops. There are also the ruins of an ancient abbey, which was fascinating to learn about, and strolling on the narrow mountain lanes was our favourite afternoon activity.

The hotel itself has lovely facilities, including a quiet pool and an open-air restaurant on the top terrace. We really loved eating here and enjoying views all around of the mountains and seaside. The food was delicious as well and we thoroughly enjoyed its weekly Kleftiko evening, dancing with its friendly staff members and other guests all night long.

The only thing I would point out is that while we did a lot of walking, which we really enjoy, the hillside is quite steep so perhaps best to take care if you have mobility problems.
