Bellapais Monastery Village Review - 45 of 65 Reviews

My wife and I escaped for a few days to the quiet village of Bellapais. It was everything we could have wanted from our holiday because it was peaceful and tranquil as well as cultured and surprisingly warm for the time of year! I booked our stay online through www.gonorthcyprus.com which I found very easy to use and the agents were really helpful in offering information about the different hotels available. We choose the Bellapais Monastery Village because it has a no child policy and we were really pleased with our choice.

Initially, we didn't have a great impression of the hotel because the reception area looks quite tired. However, this is where the disappointment ended as the rest of the hotel is really well presented, particularly the beautiful gardens.

Our hotel room at the Bellapais Monastery was fantastic! It had a lot of space and a comfortable bed and everything was really stylishly decorated. We were also very impressed with the maid service as we had clean sheets and towels most days! Our view of Kyrenia was also lovely (we had noticed that some hotel rooms backed onto a wall!)

I decided to book our stay half board as we knew that Bellapais was quite a small place and weren't sure if we would find enough restaurants for the duration of our stay. Breakfast at the Bellapais Monastery was excellent- everything was very well presented and really fresh. There was a good selection on offer for dinner but the dishes were a little bland for our liking.

Overall, we were really happy with our stay at the Bellapais Monastery Village, with the room being a highlight. Bellapais is a beautiful little village with plenty of history and culture. I'd certainly recommend this holiday to couples or friends looking to escape.
