This is a hotel review for Bella View Hotel in Kyrenia, North Cyprus
“A rather charming and romantic place to stay”
Having read through the previous reviews what can be added to what has been said before? The football stadium's stand roof does blot out the view of the sea but then again its so far away anyway that its hardly a big deal. Our room was on the other side and the view was simply of a wall and a few plants but unless you're bed bound who worries what the view from the room is anyway.
Obviously you need a hire car to get around, and the outskirts of Kyrenia are a little confusing to negotiate yourself around to find your way back to the hotel so getting a route placed on a town plan is a good idea.
The evening meals were often good, especially if you like chicken and one of the desserts I seem to remember had some merit to it, besides this the lights were dim, candles were lit, the staff were polite and soft music was played too, enough to bring sparkle back to the most disenchanted of relationships.
It wasn't until the final day that we realised we could have had a cooked breakfast which would have been good as the buffet including orange squash and potato wedges was not the highlight of the stay.
The pool was a little cold and I'd recommend wearing goggles as without them my eyes stung
probably due to the high salt content.
I did like the original art work all over the place and other than make sure to check your drinks bill what could possibly go wrong with a stay here?
Liked — the decor
Disliked — breakfast
