We booked Altinkaya primarily because of the location , to be close to family living in Girne. It was a good choice for this and worked perfectly. We knew the Hotel was a 3 star at the time of booking and our expectations were based on this - however we were somewhat disappointed at the very basic standard of the bungalow room we stayed in. That said it was clean and the bed was very comfortable, the towels were changed every day and the bed linen every other day. Breakfasts were adequate if lacking in some variety and choice and the fried eggs were always overlooked and rubbery !

The staff were friendly and efficient if a little distant.

The pool was clean tho we didn't try it as the weather wasn't really warm enough.

In terms of value for money this was a good choice and for a quick one week visit it suited our purposes.

Disliked — Basic standard of room
