This is a hotel review for Altinkaya Holiday Village in Kyrenia, North Cyprus
“Ok but not exciting”
Arrived late and were put in a room across the road from the real hotel. They call this a bungalow but sleeping area up a steep flight of stairs- not good as loo downstairs.
Spoke to receptionist after breakfast next morning and moved to main site with bungalow on one level, which we were much happier with. English receptionist extremely efficient, informative, friendly and helpful.
Hotel runs a free bus service into Kyrenia three times a day, which was useful as very little locally.
Our toilet flush stopped working - we reported it before going out for the day but on our return nothing had been done, checked with the man on duty in reception, who assured me the technician had looked at it but could do nothing as the shops were closed!! I asked for a bucket, which was promptly provided so that we could manually flush. Toilet fixed as soon as shops opened. All adds colour to the holiday.
Break fast was fine, did not have any other meals there.
Our holiday was very good value for money but would not go again.
