This is a hotel review for Almond Holiday Village in Kyrenia, North Cyprus
“The Almond Holiday Village is a must for any holiday maker!”
My family go to North Cyprus every year as we have found that it has everything we want and need from a holiday. We always find the locals really friendly and the scenery is just stunning. We usually stay at one of the hotels close to Kyrenia harbour because that's our favourite place to visit but this time we booked too late to get into one. Frantically I sought advice from Gary at www.gonorthcyprus and he suggested the Almond Holiday Village because although it wasn't in the heart of everything, it had excellent reviews. We're faced with a real dilemma next year because the Almond Village is by far the best place we've stayed at, but it's further out than we'd like.
The whole village resort was absolutely beautiful and the owner's attention to detail was impressive. Everything was immaculately clean and well decorated and the gardens were tended to with so much care. We felt, as customers, that we were really important to the staff as well.
We stayed in a villa which had a fridge (something which I'm always glad of because I like to keep lots of bottles of water with me.) It also had self-catering facilities so we ate breakfast there most mornings. The villa was spacious enough for my husband and I to share with our teenage son and he didn't even complain that we were getting in his way!
We ate quite a few meals at the hotel and found the food to be absolutely brilliant! This was another reason why the Almond Village is the best resort we've stayed in yet. The food was always hot and so tasty, with a variety of dishes to try, including some traditional ones. We literally couldn't fault any of it and the service was great too.
The only downside to the Almond Holiday Village is its distance from local towns and villages, however, because we were aware of this before we went, we booked a hire car and so it was no real problem.
Liked — the food particularly
Disliked — the distance away from everything
