We stayed at the Almond Holiday Village during a recent visit to North Cyprus and thoroughly enjoyed our stay so we came back 2 months later for our second trip here with workl.

The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and the service is excellent. Everyone is polite and helpful and the staff obviously take a great deal of pride in their jobs and in their hotel. We couldn't find fault with anything and trust me, that is unusual in a hotel these days. The Almond holiday Village gardens are well-maintained. We enjoyed taking walks around the grounds and sampling the brilliant colors of all the various trees they have. There are numerous varieties of fruit trees, giving lovely splashes of color to the perfectly manicured grounds. The smells are heavenly, if you happen to be visiting at a time when everything is in bloom. The hotel staff doesn't seem to mind if you pick some of the fruit if it's in season. We ate mandarins right off the tree and they were delicious!

And speaking of food, the quality of the food in the hotel dining room was excellent. We ate several dinners there, as well as breakfast every morning and every meal was superb. The wait staff was friendly and gave us great service too.

We spent quite a bit of time at the hotel pool and found it to be very relaxing, perhaps because it was plenty large enough so that there was lots of room in between sunbeds. We never felt crowded, either in the pool or in the area around the pool. I would have liked to have had a few chairs though, in addition to sun beds, as I sometimes wanted to sit instead of lay.

I would highly recommend Almond Holiday Village to anyone thinking of visiting the northern cyprus area. To me, it just doesn't get any better than this superb hotel. Everything was easy, the staff was great, and the stress level was zero. That's what I call a great vacation!
